According to news originating from Denver, Colorado, by N ewsRx correspondents, research stated, “Forecasting the precipitation is needed for water resources management and planning, irrigation scheduling and flood mod eling. The purpose of this research is to obtain short-term forecasts of the dai ly precipitation (1-, 2-, and 3-day-ahead) at 28 sites located in various climat e regions over the contiguous United States.” Financial support for this research came from United States Department of Agricu lture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).
