Abstract

The following quote was obtained by the news editors from the background informa tion supplied by the inventors: “In electrically propelled vehicles, such as an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, it is essential to maint ain the integrity of the aircraft until safe landing. In some flights, a compone nt of the aircraft may experience a malfunction or failure which will put the ai rcraft in an unsafe mode which will compromise the safety of the aircraft, passe ngers and onboard cargo. A method and system for estimating propulsor output is a necessary component of a safe eVTOL aircraft, and aircraft in general to asses s maneuverability and capabilities of aircraft through flight envelope.”
