According to news reporting from Munster, Germany, by New sRx journalists, research stated, “Methods for electronic structure computations, such as density functional theory (DFT), are routinely used for the calculatio n of spectroscopic parameters to establish and validate structure-parameter corr elations. DFT calculations, however, are computationally expensive for large sys tems such as polymers.”
