According to news reporting originating from Qingdao, People’s Republic of China, by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, “Due to their supe rior biocompatibility, flexibility and control strategy compared to the traditio nal robots, soft robots have been widely used in a wide spectrum of engineering areas, such as biomedical, exploration, aerospace, intelligent devices and other fields. However, the existing soft robot structures mainly focus on employing h omogeneous materials, which greatly limits the design flexibilities of softrobots, and correspondingly, the existing theories are usually invalid for calculati ng heterogeneous large deformation beam models.”
