These devices are typically equipped with standard camera devices that capture a 2D video of a sce ne. To generate a 3D effect, stereoscopy may be used. Stereoscopy is a technique for creating or enhancing the illusion of depth in an image by means of stereop sis for binocular vision. Most stereoscopic methods present two offset images se parately to the left and right eye of the viewer. These two-dimensional images a re then combined in the brain to give the perception of 3D depth.”
