According to news reporting out of Jinan, People's Republic of Ch ina, by NewsRx editors, research stated, 'Visual place recognition (VPR) is a ch allenging task for visual computing in the field of robot navigation. However, m ost of the existing methods fail to learn the most salient features of place ima ges by simple CNN feature or popular Transformer feature due to the inconsistenc y problem commonly existing in VPR datasets, which limits the robustness and int erpretability of the model.'
