Abstract

According to newsreporting out of Alicante, Spain , by NewsRx editors, research stated, “Keratoconus is an ectatic, progressiveco rneal disorder characterized by alterations in the morphology of the corneal tis sue that leads to limitationof visual function of the patient. Intracorneal rin g segments (ICRS) are small synthetic devices that areimplanted in the corneal stromal in order to regularize the morphology of the tissue therefore improvingthe visual function and the quality of life of the patients.”
