By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning DailyNews Daily News - Current study results on Robotics - Ro botics and Automation have been published.According to news reporting originati ng from Xi’an, People’s Republic of China, by NewsRx correspondents, research st ated, “In this article, we introduce a lightweight lower limb exoskeleton that p rovides auxiliarytorque to both the ankle and knee joints during the stance pha se of gait in a real-world environment, usingone quasi-direct-drive (QDD) motor .This lightweight exoskeleton incorporates a novel driving mechanism:the Unidi rectional Ankle-Knee Gait Clutch (UAKC), which allows for the sequential provisi on of auxiliarytorque to the knee and ankle joints during the stance phase of g ait. We trained a lightweight convolutionalneural network to determine gait pha ses from scanned insole pressure data and generate correspondingbiological torq ues.”
