Therefore, thoroughness and fairness of the evaluationprocess is pa rticularly important. The ability of an interviewer to interact with a candidate and unearthsufficient information to determine the candidate’s eligibility is a crucial step of the evaluation process asthe interviewer represents the organ ization during the interview. Often organizations may end up withpoor decisions as there is no formal training process for interviewers, no quality review is p erformed ontheir interviewing technique, no interview insights, or candidate sk ill graphs for the interviewers, and noanalysis is performed on the success of their decision to approve or reject any candidate in a systematicmanner. Moreov er, sometimes the interviews become biased due to unconscious biases of the inte rviewer.Improper training of the interviewer, lack of reviews and poor analysis may lead to poor decisions andbeing unfair to candidates who are actually dese rving. In addition, there are areas where candidates maybe more objectively eva luated by a proprietary scoring mechanism than individual interviewers.
