According to news reporting f rom New York City, New York, by NewsRx journalists, research stated,“The goal o f this study is to implement machine learning (ML) algorithms to predict mortali ty, nonhomedischarge, prolonged length of stay (LOS), prolonged length of inten sive care unit stay (ICU -LOS), andmajor complications in patients diagnosed wi th thoracolumbar spinal cord injury, while creating a publiclyaccessible online tool. The American College of Surgeons Trauma Quality Program database was used toidentify patients with thoracolumbar spinal cord injury.”
