Today, patient lifting devices are passive, unstableand requir e multiple caregivers to operate. They are passive in the sense that the patient may be not anactive part of the lifting and moving process, and as a result, a patient’s recovery time may be prolongedfrom injury, trauma or repetitive stre ss of the passive lifting and moving process.
