Abstract
By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning DailyNews Daily News – Research findings on Robotics are disc ussed in a new report. According to newsreporting out of Eindhoven, Netherlands , by NewsRx editors, research stated, “Predicting the post-impactvelocity for t orque-controlled flexible-joint robots enhances impact-aware control schemes whi ch exploitintentional collisions for achieving dynamic robotic manipulation and locomotion. Compared to a previousapproach based on a fully rigid-robot assump tion, this paper shows how an improvement in the post-impactvelocity prediction can be obtained by taking into account the joints’ motor inertias, transmission ratios, and low-level torque control gains, as well as the impact surface frict ion.”
