According to news reporting originatingin Chengdu, People’s Republic of Chi na, by NewsRx journalists, research stated, “Arc-directed energydeposition (Arc -DED) with the vertical position offers significant potential for in-situ fabric ation ofoverhang structures. However, the vertical position application is seri ously hindered by drop and humpdefects since Arc-DED possesses serious heat acc umulation resulting from multi-layer depositions.”Funders for this research include National Natural Science Foundation of China ( NSFC), SichuanScience and Tech- nology Program, Aviation Science Foundation of China, Fundamental Research Fundsfor the Central Universities.
