From the background information supplied by the inventors, news correspondents o btained the followingquote: “Conventional autonomous floor cleaning systems are limited in their capabilities. Due to the lack ofcapabilities, the autonomous floor cleaning systems only provide rudimentary cleaning solutions. Withoutthe use of a plurality of sensors and better algorithms, the autonomous floor cleani ng systems are unableto adapt to efficiently clean a variety of messes with opt imal mobility and require manual adjustmentto complete cleaning tasks. For exam ple, conventional autonomous floor cleaning systems use cleaningheads to improv e cleaning efficiency by agitating and loosening dirt, dust, and debris. If the cleaning headof a vacuum or sweeper is too low, the autonomous floor cleaning s ystem may be unable to move overan obstacle or may damage the floor, and if the cleaning head is too high, the autonomous floor cleaningsystem may miss some o f the mess. Even if a user manually sets the cleaning head at an optimal height,mobility of the cleaning head within the environment without getting stuck may be sacrificed for cleaningefficacy, which may still be nonoptimal for a variety of surface types and messes in the environment.
