Abstract

According to newsreporting from Edmonton, Canada, by New sRx journalists, research stated, “Maps showing the thicknessof sediments above the bedrock (depth to bedrock, or DTB) are important for many geoscience studie sand are necessary for many hydrogeological, engineering, mining, and forestry applications. However, itcan be difficult to accurately estimate DTB in areas w ith varied topography, like lowland and mountainousterrain, because traditional methods of predicting bedrock elevation often underestimate or overestimatethe elevation in rugged or incised terrain.”
