For example,prediction of UE trajectory or future loc ation can be useful to adjust handover (HO) thresholds or toselect the RNA in R RC-INACTIVE or to optimise beamforming. Prediction of UE location could furtherhelp network resource allocation for various use cases including energy saving, load balancing and mobilitymanagement. As another example, HO decisions can be improved by using prediction information on theUE performance at the target cel l. Energy saving decisions taken locally at a cell could be improved byutilizin g prediction information on incoming UE traffic, as well as prediction informati on about trafficthat may be offloaded from a candidate energy saving cell to a neighbour cell ensuring coverage. Withincreased computing power and artificial intelligence and machine learning the use of predicted data isbecoming ever mor e important in improving the performance of devices within a network such as a wireless communication network.
