Reporters obtained the following quote from the background information supplied by the inventors:“Autonomous mobile robots can move about an environment and ca n perform functions and operationsin a variety of categories, including but not limited to security operations, infrastructure or maintenanceoperations, navig ation or mapping operations, inventory management operations, and robot/human interaction operations. Some mobile robots, known as cleaning robots, can perform cleaning tasks autonomouslywithin an environment, e.g., a home. Many kinds of c leaning robots are autonomous to somedegree and in different ways. For example, some mobile cleaning robots can perform both vacuuming andmopping operations o r routines.”
