According to news originating fromXiamen, People’s Republic of China, b y NewsRx correspondents, research stated, “The earthworm hasbeen attracted much attention in the research and development of biomimetic robots due to their uni quelocomotion mechanism, compact structure, and small motion space. This paper presents a new design andprototype of a worm-inspired metameric robot with a mo vement pattern similar to that of earthworms.”Funders for this research include National Natural Science Foundation of China ( NSFC), NationalNatural Science Foundation of China (NSFC).
