According to news reportingout of Edinburgh, United Kingdom, by NewsRx editors, research stated, “The ability to accurately predictwhen a job on a supercomputer will leave the queue and start to run is not only beneficial for providinginsights to users, but can also help enable non-traditional HPC wo rkloads that are not necessarily suitedto the batch queue style-approach that i s ubiquitous on production HPC machines. However there arenumerous challenges i n achieving such a prediction with high accuracy, not least because the queue’s statecan change rapidly and depend upon many factors.”
