According to news reporting originating in Saint-Denis, France, by NewsRx journalists,resea rch stated, “The objective of the present study was to evaluate the interest of an assistance robotto help caregivers manage the activities of daily living of institutionalized elderly people with Alzheimer’sdisease. Twenty-three institut ionalized persons (60% women; average age 89; average MMSE score o f20.8) with Alzheimer Disease (AD) were recruited and invited to participate in prospective memory exercisesessions, conducted either by a caregiver or by a r obot (assisted by a caregiver).”
