Accordingto news reporting out of Sapporo, Ja pan, by NewsRx editors, research stated, “This study proposes anautomatic findi ngs generation method that performs in-context few-shot learning of a visual lan guagemodel.”Funders for this research include Japan Society For The Promotion of Science.The news reporters obtained a quote from the research from Hokkaido University: “The automaticgeneration of findings can reduce the burden of creating inspecti on records for infrastructure facilities.However, the findings must include the opinions and judgments of engineers, in addition to what is recognizedfrom the image; therefore, the direct generation of findings is still challenging. With this background,we introduce in-context few-short learning that focuses on imag e similarity and text diversity in the visuallanguage model, which enables text output with a highly accurate understanding of both vision andlanguage.”
