Abstract
Reporters obtained the following quote from the background information supplied by the inventors: “One or more aspects relate, in general, to dynamic processing within a computing environment, and in particular, to improving such processing , as it relates to the maintenance of physical assets. “The maintenance of physical assets includes the planning and/or scheduling of m aintenance for the assets. Although techniques to perform asset maintenance and other management tasks exist, those techniques vary widely for many reasons. For example, data is obtained from multiple sources at various levels of granularit y. Further, predictive models are customized to specific asset classes, regions and network structures. The techniques are myopic in terms of scope, e.g., tailo red for a sub-network instead of system wide. Yet further, there are operator ob jectives (e.g., repair only; replace or repair; replace, repair, reuse; maintena nce planning; maintenance scheduling; etc.), operator constraints, and/or operat ional dynamics (e.g., asset health, demand patterns, risk tolerance, etc.) to be considered.
