Analysis of tissue samples, in particu lar, can often be tedious, weakly quantitative, and difficult to reproduce due t o the vast quantities of data that need to be analyzed. Recently, machine learni ng based computer vision systems in other fields have achieved performance level s that suggest that significant improvements can be realized in biomedical imagi ng. However, these learning based systems often require input data that contains labels designating the items of interest.
