By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News-Citibank N.A. (New York, New York, Uni ted States) has been issued patent number 11978049, according to news reporting originating out of Alexandria, Virginia, by NewsRx editors. The patent's inventors are Bechar, Boaz (St. Tel Aviv, IL), Bloch, David (Tel-Av iv, IL). This patent was filed on November 28, 2023 and was published online on May 7, 20 24.From the background information supplied by the inventors, news correspondents o btained the following quote: "One of the critical challenges of blockchain techn ology pertains to Unspent Transaction Outputs (UTXOs) (unused currency in a bloc kchain-based transaction). UTXOs are generated and stored on a blockchain mainta ined by a blockchain computing network as a result of previous transactions and are associated with the recipient of the transaction's public key of the recipie nt's distributed ledgerbased account. UTXOs associated with a user's distribute d ledger-based account may be used in future transactions by the user. For examp le, a user with a distributed ledger-based account on a blockchain may attempt t o complete a transaction to obtain a product or service. The user's distributed ledgerbased account may be associated with different UTXOs. A computer may rece ive a transaction request for a transaction associated with the user's distribut ed ledger-based account. There may be different permutations of UTXOs associated with the distributed ledger-based account that the computer can select to use t o complete the transaction. The computer may indiscriminately choose (e.g., base d on a user's selection) a combination of UTXOs that satisfies the requirements to complete the transaction without any regard to the implications of the select ion on the blockchain computing network or future transactions."
