By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News-From Washington, D.C., NewsRx journali sts report that a patent application by the inventors Fox, Jeremy R. (Georgetown , TX, US); Rakshit, Sarbajit K. (Kolkata, IN); Silverstein, Zachary A. (Georgeto wn, TX, US); Whitman, Todd Russell (Bethany, CT, US), filed on November 8, 2022, was made available online on May 9, 2024. No assignee for this patent application has been made. News editors obtained the following quote from the background information suppli ed by the inventors: "The present invention relates, generally, to the field of computing, and more particularly to threedimensional (3D) printing. "The field of three-dimensional (3D) printing encompasses a variety of processes whereby threedimensional objects are constructed by depositing, joining or sol idifying layers of material. These processes are controlled by a computer, which constructs the object according to a digital model, such as a CAD model or 3D m odel. One of the key advantages of 3D printing is the ability to produce very co mplex shapes or geometries that would be otherwise impossible to construct by ha nd, including hollow parts or parts with internal truss structures to reduce wei ght. As the precision, consistency, and material range of 3D printing increases, so too does the range of applications, from functional or aesthetic prototyping to industrial production, health, and education."
