According to news reporting from Tianjin, People’s Republic of China, by NewsRx journalists, research stated, “In the present study, the dynami c response and damage of concrete-filled steel tubular (CFST) columns under clos e-in explosion were numerically studied. An extensive parametric study was carri ed out to investigate the effects of column height, diameter, wall thickness, yi eld strength of steel, compressive strength of concrete, and axial load ratio on the residual midheight displacement (RMHD) and residual axial load-bearing capa city (RALBC).” Financial supporters for this research include National Natural Science Foundati on of China (NSFC), China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, Natural Science Found ation of Tianjin.
