Abstract

According to news reporting out of Beijing, People’s Republic o f China, by NewsRx editors, research stated, “This letter presents the first tra jectory planning method for hybrid robot to perform powerline inspection involvi ng obstacle navigation and landing. We develop a geometric model that incorporat es constraints for landing the hybrid robot on a powerline, obstacle avoidance, and objectives that maximize the visibility of the powerline during flight.” Financial support for this research came from National Natural Science Foundatio n of China (NSFC)
