According to news reporting out of Guangzhou, People’s Republic of China, by NewsRx editors, research stated, “Identifying the underlying surfac e at varying speeds during robotic locomotion is important for safe and efficien t robot navigation. This work aims to enhance the perceptual abilities of biped robots by enabling the force sensor affixed beneath each foot to recognize multi ple indoor surfaces while navigating at varying speeds.” Financial support for this research came from TAOYAKA Program for Creating a Fle xible, Enduring, Peaceful Society at Hiroshima University.
