According to news reporting originating in Qingdao , People’s Republic of China, by NewsRx journalists, research stated, “Classific ation of cryptic species is important for assessing biodiversity and conducting ecological studies. However, morphological classification methods face the loss of morphological information due to subjectivity in geometric morphometrics, whi le an incomplete database and horizontal gene transfer limit the molecular appro ach.” Financial supporters for this research include Laoshan Laboratory, National Natu ral Science Foundation of China (NSFC).
