Abstract

According to news reporting originating in Davis, California, b y NewsRx journalists, research stated, “Earthquake nowcasting has been proposed as a means of tracking the change in large earthquake potential in a seismically active area. The method was developed using observable seismic data, in which p robabilities of future large earthquakes can be computed using Receiver Operatin g Characteristic methods.” Funders for this research include United States Department of Energy (DOE), JBR, United States Department of Energy (DOE).
