Reporters obtained the following quote from the background information supplied by the inventors: “The present invention relates to edge computing, and more spe cifically, this invention relates to using an artificial intelligence (AI) reaso ning model to analyze and alter an edge device policy. “Edge computing typically involves any sort of computing that occurs outside the confines, e.g., the physical walls, of a traditional data center. Accordingly, in some implementations, edge computing typically does not refer to relatively l arge computing realms, e.g., relatively large compute facilities, the cloud, pub lic or private clouds, etc., but rather computing that occurs outside of these r ealms of computing environments. On an opposite side of the spectrum, edge compu ting typically does not refer to relatively small computing realms, e.g., such a s a constrained device that cannot run an operating system such as LINUX, system s that cannot run containerized applications, fixed function general compute dev ices such as some programmable thermostats, etc. Instead, edge computing devices typically refer to devices that are capable of running an operating system such as LINUX and/or are capable of running containerized applications, e.g., such a s an ARM-32 micro-architecture device, an ARM-64 micro-architecture device, an X 86 micro-architecture device, Z micro-architecture devices, etc., other devices such as sensors with digital outputs, RISC-V architectures, etc.
