Reporters obtained the following quote from the background information supplied by the inventors: “Inkjet printers and inkjet plotters utilizing an inkjet recor ding method are known as liquid discharge devices. A liquid discharge head for d ischarging liquid is mounted in the liquid discharge device using such an inkjet method. “Such a liquid discharge head includes a known liquid discharge head in which a liquid discharge surface is protected by a cap and which performs conveyance or transport (for example, see Patent Literatures 1 and 2).” In addition to obtaining background information on this patent application, News Rx editors also obtained the inventors’ summary information for this patent appl ication: “In one aspect of an embodiment, a liquid discharge device includes a h ead, a holding portion, a cap, and a second fixing member.
