The following quote was obtained by the news editors from the background informa tion supplied by the inventors: “It is known from the prior art to manually anno tate images of an object captured using a camera. In detail, the coordinates of several previously established points on the object are determined and identifie d by the person on the images. Alternatively, markers can be applied to correspo nding points on the object so as to be able to recognize and identify these on t he images. This, however, results in an alteration of the starting conditions si nce the object was altered by the application of the marker.”
