For example, documents of a given type may be required to include particular legal disclaimers under company policy. As another example, a compan y may require that all contracts of a given type contain a particular term. The evaluation and enforcement of such policies using conventional techniques is a l argely manual process. For large companies and large pools of documents, such ma nual evaluation and enforcement of policies as applied to text-based documents c an be prohibitively time consuming and expensive. Accordingly, improved techniqu es for policy evaluation are desired.”
