By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News-Researchers detail new data in robotics. Accordin g to news reporting originating from the Universitas Mercu Buana by NewsRx corre spondents, research stated, "The objective of solving feature-based localization problems is to estimate the path of the robot referring to a given map." Our news correspondents obtained a quote from the research from Universitas Merc u Buana: "Thus, it is not surprising that robust estimators such as Smooth Varia ble Structure Filter (SVSF) are often used to handle this problem. Basically, it s use is highly dependent on an accurate system model and known statistical nois e. Where neither of these are available by definition. Therefore, the convention al way is not recommended and the use of an adaptive filter approach can be invo lved. Based on this and although only partially, Innovation Adaptive Estimation (IAE) has been considered to have a positive influence on improving the performa nce of the estimator. But not infrequently the solutions offered by this approac h also lead to divergences due to unmapped dynamic conditions."
