According to news originating from Xiamen, People’s Republic of China, by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, “In shallow water, Sentinel -2 multispectral imagery has only four visible bands and limited quantization le vels, which easily leads to the occurrence of the same spectral profile but diff erent depth (SSPBDD) phenomenon, resulting in a one-to-many relationship between water depth and spectral profile.” Funders for this research include National Natural Science Foundation of China; Scientific Research Foundation of Third Institute of Oceanography; Open Fund of Beijing Engineering Research Centre For Aerospace Intelligent Remote Sensing Equ ipment; National High Resolution Special Research.
