By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News – According to news reporting originatin g from Washington, D.C., by NewsRx journalists, a patent application by the inve ntors OKAMOTO, Satoshi (Kyoto, JP); TOKISUE, Shogo (Kyoto, JP), filed on March 1 0, 2022, was made available online on May 23, 2024. No assignee for this patent application has been made. Reporters obtained the following quote from the background information supplied by the inventors: “In the technical fields of pathological medicine and cell cul ture, the number of cells present in images obtained by imaging a cell mass comp osed of a plurality of cells is often used as a numerical criterion for judging a state, e.g. a developmental status, of cells or a tissue. It is a large burden on an operator to visually count a multitude of cells. For this reason, a techn ique for analyzing images and automatically counting the number of cells has bee n proposed.
