According to newsreporting originating in Jinan, People’ s Republic of China, by NewsRx journalists, research stated, “Microplastics(MPs ) have the potential to adsorb heavy metals (HMs), resulting in a combined pollu tionthreat in aquatic and terrestrial environments. However, due to the complex ity of MP/HM properties andexperimental conditions, research on the adsorption of HMs onto MPs often yields inconsistent findings.”
