This patent was filed on April 21, 2022 and was published online on July 16, 202 4.From the background information supplied by the inventors, news correspondents o btained the followingquote: “Several systems, for example, sensor-based equipme nt such as equipment connected with IoT(internet of things) devices sends alert s to users in various situations. Sensors associated with suchequipment may det ect specific conditions for the equipment and if these conditions are detected, thesystem sends alerts. For example, the sensors may detect certain condition t hat needs human interventionand send alerts. The condition may indicate equipme nt that needs maintenance, faulty equipment, oreven certain dangerous condition for the equipment. A user, for example, an administrator or operator maymonito r alerts generated by several such equipment instances using an application runn ing on a clientdevice. As a result, the application used for monitoring the equ ipment may receive a very large number ofalert messages. A very high rate of al erts wastes bandwidth and computing resources and provides pooruser experience since the operator monitoring the alerts may start ignoring the alerts if there are too manyalerts. As a result, alerts that may be reporting faulty equipment or dangerous conditions may get ignoredresulting in serious consequences.”
