The following quote was obtained by the news editors from the background informa tion supplied bythe inventors: “In an artificial reality environment, some or a ll of the objects a user sees and interactswith are “virtual objects,” i.e., re presentations of objects generated by a computing system that appearin an envir onment. Virtual objects in an artificial reality environment can be presented to the user by ahead-mounted display, a mobile device, a projection system, or an other computing system. Often, userscan interact with virtual objects using con trollers and/or gestures. For example, user “interactions” with virtual objects can include selecting, moving, rotating, resizing, actuating controls, changing colors or skins,defining interactions between real or virtual objects, setting virtual forces to act on virtual objects, or anyother action on or change to an object that a user can imagine.
