Abstract

According to news reporting originating fromBoulder, Colorado, by NewsRx co rrespondents, research stated, “Miniature-legged robots are constrainedby their onboard computation and control, thus motivating the need for simple, first-pri nciples-basedgeometric models that connect periodic actuation or gaits (a unive rsal robot control paradigm) to theinduced average locomotion. In this paper, w e develop a modulable two-beat gait design framework forsprawled planar quadrup edal systems under the no-slip using tools from geometric mechanics.”
