University of Toronto Reports Findings in Robotics (Navformer: a Transformer Arc hitecture for Robot Target-driven Navigation In Unknown and Dynamic Environments )

Abstract

According to news originatingfrom Toronto, Canada, by NewsRx cor respondents, research stated, “In unknown cluttered and dynamicenvironments suc h as disaster scenes, mobile robots need to perform target-driven navigation in order tofind people or objects of interest, where the only information provided about these targets are images ofthe individual targets. In this letter, we in troduce NavFormer, a novel end-to-end transformer architecturedeveloped for rob ot target-driven navigation in unknown and dynamic environments.”
