By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning DailyNews Daily News - Researchers detail new data in Robotic s. According to news originating from CollegePark, Maryland, by NewsRx correspo ndents, research stated, “We propose a novel method, ProNav, whichuses proprioc eptive signals for traversability estimation in challenging outdoor terrains for autonomouslegged robot navigation. Our approach uses sensor data from a legged robot’s joint encoders, force, andcurrent sensors to measure the joint positio ns, forces, and current consumption respectively to accuratelyassess a terrain’ s stability, resistance to the robot’s motion, risk of entrapment, and crash.”
