Examples of the articulated robotsinclude industrial robots and construction equipment. For example, the robot disclosed in Patent Literature( PTL) 1 is known as an industrial robot. The robot disclosed in PTL 1 includes: a manipulator includinga plurality of joints; and an electric motor that drives each of the plurality of joints. The robot moves thejoints using the electric m otor, thereby moving an end effector located at the tip of the manipulator. Thus, the robot handles a workpiece with the end effector.”
