The following quote was obtained by the news editors from the background informa tion supplied bythe inventors: “In general, robots largely include a ‘leg’ type robot, by which a walk is allowed by usinga structure in a leg form, and a ‘wh eel’ type robot, by which a travel is allowed by using wheels. Theleg type robo t may easily overcome an environment, such as stairs or tough areas, but is slow on a flatground surface and has a low energy use efficiency.
