Reporters obtained the following quote from the background information supplied by the inventors:“Machine learning models can be used for a wide range of appli cations. In many instances, to trainand evaluate machine learning models, large volumes of data may be obtained from various data sources.However, in many ins tances, portions of received data can include sensitive or private information.“Computers (e.g., servers) performing secret share of data can use a multi-party computation techniqueto train and evaluate machine learning models using the j ointly-obtained data. The multi-party computationtechnique can allow for retrie val of the data for evaluating and training of the machine learningmodels witho ut requiring the dissemination of any sensitive/private information across the n odes.”
