This patent application has not been assigned to a company or institution.The following quote was obtained by the news editors from the background informa tion supplied bythe inventors: “Industrial robots have been widely used in vari ous industries, such as welding, assembling,grinding, polishing, spraying, medi cal surgery, agricultural operations, entertainments or education, andthe like. In practical applications, the robot may not only be applied to an indoor envir onment, but alsoto an outdoor environment. In scenes where the working environm ent is harsh, the requirements for theprotection and the sealing performance fo r/of the robot are high, otherwise dust, metal particles or watercan enter the robot body, which can cause corrosion and damage to the robot joints, thereby af fectingthe function of the robot. In addition, in some special scenes with high cleanliness requirements, such asmedical treatment, food production, and manuf acturing of precision electronic devices, it is required thatthe robot itself c annot generate pollution, otherwise the produced products will be polluted. Ther efore,it is necessary to seal between the links of the robot arm of the robot, to prevent water, dust, and the likefrom entering the robot body, so as to prev ent damage to the robot, or to prevent contamination insidethe robot from leaki ng into the external environment so as to satisfy the cleanliness requirements o f theapplication scenes.”
