But a user of th e webpage may wish to see how the productwould appear in a particular location, such as her home. Adding such visualization functionality to thewebpage may be a difficult task. Relying on an external visualization application (e.g., by pr oviding aparameterized link in the webpage to the external visualization applic ation) may be problematic for boththe user and the operator of the website. Whe n using such a parameterized link, bots and crawlers may beable to access the e xternal visualization application through the link, corrupting usage data of int erest tothe website operator. Furthermore, the operator must design the website to correctly handle communicationwith the external visualization application. Incorrect communication can result in errors affecting the userexperience, such as visualizations of incorrect products or incorrectly localized interfaces. In addition, theoperator may not be able to track user interactions with the exte rnal visualization application, such as what users viewed, how often they viewed it, and how long they viewed it for. Such information may beof considerable im portance to the operator of the website.”
