Abstract

According to news reporting fromRennes, France, by NewsRx journalis ts, research stated, “Micro-electrode recordings (MERs) are a keyintra-operativ e modality used during deep brain stimulation (DBS) electrode implantation, whic h allowfor a trained neurophysiologist to infer the anatomy in which the electr ode is placed. As DBS targets aresmall, such inference is necessary to confirm that the electrode is correctly positioned.”
