Reporters obtained the following quote from the background information supplied by the inventors: ““Field“The present disclosure generally relates to robotic surgical systems, and more particularly to mechanismsfor mechanically releasing and retracting robotic too ls of a robotic surgical system.“Description of the Related Art“Robotic surgery systems generally include an operator interface that receives o perator input from asurgeon and causes corresponding movements of surgical tool s within a body cavity of a patient to performa surgical procedure. The operato r interface can be on a workstation that the surgeon interfaces with toperform a surgical procedure using the surgical tools. The surgical tools can be on a ca rt separate fromthe workstation. The cart can be mobile, allowing hospital staf f to move the cart into an operating roomprior to the surgical procedure, and t o remove it from the operating room once the surgical procedure hasbeen complet ed.”
